SKETCHBOOK

When you have no idea for your research topic, or what you want to do, take a break. Shut-down your computer, go take a shower ,eat an icecream ……. do whatever thing you want . After a few hour , when you are relax and calm , switch on  your computer , search for anything you want . drawing ,swimming, food , DIY etc , you will SURPRISE , and shout  ” THAT IS WHAT I WANT FOR MY RESEARCH ! ”

For avoiding that situation keep on happening , I keep a sketchbook with me all the time. when idea and inspiration come , I can straight away record them into my sketchbook . sketchbook also is one way to training and building your creativity.

How to get start?

My favourite comic book _Doraemon

Doraemon 

This is a Japanese manga series written and illustrate by Fujiko Fujio . The story is about the friendship of the 2 main character Nobita Nobi and a robotic cat name Doraemon and their daily life . I  fall in love with this series of manga because in every end of the chapter I can learn something important , such as be a responsible person , take care of other , and study hard to achieve your goal.

Doraemon plot summary
Doraemon is sent back in time by a young boy named Sewashi Nobi to improve the circumstances of his grandfather, Nobita, so that his descendants may enjoy a better future. In the original timeline, Nobita experienced nothing but misery and misfortune manifested in the form of poor grades and bullying throughout his life. This culminates in the burning down of a future business he sets up which leaves his family line beset with financial problems. In order to alter history and better the Nobi family’s fortunes, Sewashi initially wanted to send a super-robot to protect Nobita.

The Chapter I love the most
The chapter I love the most is one day Doraemon are sending back to the future. He left Nobita a drinking potion. After you drink, you to make 3 wish. Before Doraemon back to the future , Nobita promise him that he will tried he best in his life .

After few week later, he start to miss the time he spend with doraemon and in the same time Takeshi Goda and Suneo Honekawa invited him to play baseball together. He wish to reject them, because he always get bullied by them. But he know that he can’t stay like this forever, he don’t want to disappointing Doraemon . so he decided to go out playing with his 2 friend  Takeshi Goda and Suneo Honekawa.

But in the end, he still getting bullied by them. He sad and cried run back to his home open the potion and drink it , he miss Doraemon so much ,he don’t want to separate from his friend , he only wish is he miss Doraemon so much he want his friend to come back, because alone is a very sad thing.  In the end , he wish come true, Doraemon is back, and their together again.

The character I love the most
Doraemon without a doubt . He is funny , kind , and cute. He always offer helpful advise to Nobita when Nobita facing trouble. Beside that , Doreamon possess a pocket call “fourth-dimensional pocket” where he can get various type tool such as “anywhere door” (though the door you can go anywhere you want )to help nobita and his friend.

Character Design

Drawing is my hobby and passion. I have been drawing since I was a little child, and I continue to develop my skill in college when I study Multimedia design.  Throughout the years, I had continue to explore various type of art and learn to be more skilful in expressing my idea through drawing.

I will do a research about character design ,the main reason is I enjoy watching animation and cartoon, the first cartoon I watch is Walt Disney cartoon – lion king , quick review on my artwork in this few year , most of the artwork are character .Doing character design enable to improve my imagination and creativity.

Children love to watch cartoon is because  they are funny and fantasy, character design in cartoon is adorable , wild , changeable , fantastical. They can easily learn many thing form cartoon. For teenager and adult watch cartoon because it is entertaining ,relax ,fun and can bring back their childhood memory.the video link for how Disney characters help autistic child emerge from lonely autism.

Character design is a challenging career , a character designer need to pan everything from beginning till the end. Furthermore Character design can be fit in almost every design and illustration. Logo, robotic character, cute character is the common type of character design we usually see in our life. The  are use for commercial purpose such as logo . this type of character are usually cute, with a big eye and with a very simple structure.

Their size and position conveys something about your character: bigger eyes tend to give a sense of childishness or childlike wonder, smaller ones a sense of seriousness and depth, wide-set eyes gives a sense of oddity, while close-set eyes are often comic.”  by Finland

Before create a character, research about other art. Know who is your target audience. It is very important. After select your target audience start to research/planing what kind of character you want ,plan the story, design the accessories for the character.

C studio

C studio is a fundraising for my Diploma final year project in TARC College. the unique sale point of C studio are nail art which are provided by one of my team member and  follow by tattoo painting which in charge by me and my another team member and the last one is photo shooting.

Considering that our target audience are student so , we are using temporary tattoo, you can remove it by apply a small amount of lotion to the temporary tattoo , wait for awhile , rub it with washcloth and then wash hand with warm water . that all.But if you want to make the tattoo last longer ,or make it more real , you can apply baby powder on the surface of the tattoo.

Photo shooting is the unpopular among these three.

My 30 day challenge

Recently I watch a video from TED is call “try something new for 30 day” ,what mention in this video is you just need to set a target what you need to do for the next 30 day , do it every day , then it will become a hobby, that all , very simple practice .  First though come into my mind is how can it be so simple ?  I don’t believe that. So I tried it by myself.

Pick up a challenge , do it everyday , and see what happening. So the result is ……….Yes , it work! What is my first challenge ? That is do yoga every day , and I loss 5 kg in one month!

Now is the beginning of May, I would like to continue my previous challenge , keep on doing yoga  .

A tip for those who want to keep fit , you don’t need to intentionaly to eat less food , just need to remember 3 step  , drink warm water after you wake up and before you sleep, don’t eat too much 2 hour before and after you do yoga,and sleep early and wake up early . It is a simple and healthy way to keep fit .
